General Membership Meetings provide members with the opportunity to stay informed, raise concerns, and actively participate in shaping our union. It’s your chance to ask questions, provide feedback, and help guide the direction of our union.

Please note that our local union supports members across three provinces and three time zones and our members work in airports that are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  Meeting times and dates vary throughout the year to ensure the meetings are supportive of allowing as many members as possible to attend.  If you are not able to attend, meeting minutes will be emailed to all members no later than 7 days after the meeting has concluded.    For additional General Membership Meeting rules, please refer to the Local Union Bylaws.

Whether you’ve attended a General Membership Meeting before or this would be your first, this is an important one to join. We’re facing a pivotal federal election, and your voice and engagement matter more than ever.

We’re proud to welcome a special guest speaker:

🔹 Jack Sully, Vice-President of Unifor Local 707A in Fort McMurray

Jack will be speaking on the importance of the Unifor Votes campaign—Unifor’s national, non-partisan effort to encourage members to vote and elect a labour-friendly government. He won’t tell you who to vote for—but you’ll leave with useful insight into how to make your vote count in this crucial election.

Jack represents oil sands workers at Suncor, SMS Equipment, and East Tank Farm. A welder by trade, Jack brings over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, and has been actively involved in five Unifor Votes campaigns—two federally, and three provincially.

He also serves as the Chair of the Political Action and Bylaw Committee at his local and sits on the Political Action Committee at Unifor's Prairie Regional Council.
