As the summer draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on the past few months and express our heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering dedication and hard work. This summer has been one filled with many challenges. We last sent you a communication on June 27th, after the company identified a very impactful issue with the June 26th-August 21st summer schedule mostly affecting our largest member group, Customer Service Agents.
Today we reached a significant milestone in the history of our employment with
WestJet. The Bargaining Committee is proud to announce we reached a 92.5% vote in
favour of the Collective Agreement presented to the membership. The ratification of a
collective agreement is a significant accomplishment for a union and its members.
