Daniel is a strong representative because he leads with empathy, communicates clearly, and listens without judgment. He recognizes the importance of ensuring every team member’s voice is heard and every concern is taken seriously. Daniel advocates with integrity, transparency, and respect, and his approachable, calm, and fair manner makes him someone people feel comfortable turning to. Whether the issue is small or significant, he consistently makes time to listen and follow through. As Election Committee Chair, Daniel aims to foster a more positive, respectful, and informed workplace where everyone feels valued, protected, and empowered.

With over four years at WestJet, Daniel has developed a deep understanding of our culture, challenges, and the unique demands of our roles. His strong relationships across departments give him valuable insight into the needs and perspectives of employees throughout the organization—experience he is committed to bringing into the democratic process.

In addition to his role as a CSA, Daniel serves on WestJet’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, where he helps promote a welcoming and supportive environment for all WestJetters.

With over four years at WestJet, Laura is based in YYZ and currently works as both a CSA and DDC-Relief.

Laura chose to get involved with the Local because she wants to ensure that every team member’s voice is heard and that everyone receives fair treatment and meaningful support in the workplace. She values open communication, advocating for what’s right, and collaborating to build a stronger, more positive environment for all of us. Dedicated and approachable, Laura is ready to listen, represent our concerns, and champion positive change through the election process.

Vikramjeet Singh Sahota is a dedicated union member based in Calgary (YYC) who is committed to supporting his coworkers and strengthening the workplace through fairness, accountability, and open communication. He believes that strong representation begins with listening to members, understanding their concerns, and ensuring every voice is respected and heard.

As a Ramp Service Agent, Vikramjeet has developed a strong understanding of airport operations and the challenges employees face in a fast-paced aviation environment. His day-to-day experience working on the ramp has strengthened his commitment to teamwork, safety, and supporting fellow workers. Vikramjeet is an active member of the Health and Safety Committee, where he helps identify workplace hazards, promote safe work practices, and support initiatives that improve employee well-being. 

In addition, he now serves as a member of the Election Committee, helping ensure that union processes remain fair, transparent, and democratic for all members. Through his involvement in union activities and workplace committees, Vikramjeet is committed to advocating for members, strengthening safety standards, and helping build a respectful, supportive, and safe work environment for everyone.
