AL MCLEOD SCHOLARSHIP - 2022

We are pleased to announce that Unifor Local 975 is now accepting applications for the Al McLeod Scholarship for 2022.  Scholarships are awarded to “persons seeking higher levels of education to assume a career or advance the social fabric of Canada and working people” and are available to all Unifor Local 975 members in good standing, or their immediate family members.

Due to the delayed announcement of the 2022 Scholarship, we will be foregoing the requirement to provide a Secondary School Teacher’s Report and will adjust the rating formula as follows:

  • 45% Academic achievement (formerly 40%)
  • 10%  Secondary Teacher’s Report
  • 45% Essay [on the Union Movement] accompanying the application (formerly 40%)
  • 10%  Extracurricular activities
